I need to read my poll worker book before tuesday I need to put the garbage out tonight I need to go into a curves
In more important news I have a new bra. I saw time travelers wife. It was really good. I could see how die hard fans of the book would be pissed about something but for something based on something as time traveling it was very cohesive. I have two favorite parts of the story. P.S. Shelly, the reason it took forever for it to come out was that they had to wait for Eric Bana's hair to grow back for reshoots because of Star Trek. I'm staying in town for Halloween. Nerix's west side story is Nov. 13-15 and the 20-22 I think. I wanna investigate. I hope Natalie's top chef is good. I'm dvring it (to watch once I do the garbage) Keenan Thompson & Jaleel White (Urkle) were on an episode of Psych. Is your mind blown? It should be.
Enjoy some Psych-y goodness.

| It's official |
[Oct. 20th, 2009|11:41 am] |
I've been trained to be a poll worker. It sounds more intimidating that it will be if I get called to fill in. So hopefully all I will have to do is call in and not be placed, but that's not nessisarily my luck. I guess I should ponder the best time to call in. I wasn't the youngest person to train, but the other young people were jerky.
Funniest part is that the examples of affidavits they had on the wall were hairspray characters (i.e. Tracey Larkin was filling out a name change affidavit). Very cute, but not very current.
In other news my mom is going on some trip with some guy. WTF? We'll see how freedom treats me. |

| Sorry! |
[Oct. 17th, 2009|11:51 pm] |
Sorry. It's very sad that my last post was more than a month ago when I was telling you all about my grandpa. I apologize for that.
In terms of work: I got trained for coffee bar around the 10th of september... and they haven't used me there since since my boss doesn't want to give me to another department. My boss has also said she wants to train me for u-scan and that I'll get trained for it in 2 weeks. So that will be like 9 weeks since they originally said they'd re-train me for it. Then, yesterday my boss asked if I'd like to work in the service center. I tried to say no in they way of "when you get around to training me you might not need me" instead of "hell no I don't want more responsibility for no pay raise". I also need to run around next week to see if I can get heathcare yet and how long I have to be there to be "vested" in the union. AKA get a pension. It was 5 when chris was there & nowadays is 10. I've been there 6. Also the grocery boss hasn't gotten around to asking me about my united way pledge. So they've never asked me since my first year. So this should be interesting.
In terms of life I try and get my act together in one area of my life. THen another. So in august I was great about running everyday. Then I fell off the wagon in september. Then I've been back into it in October. My newest kick other than almost health is my finances (motivated by mom talking about my student loans). So I'm about to open an ING direct account and it's probably gonna rock my world. Haven't worked as hard as I should on finding a job. I'm going to train to work the election november third, so that will be a nice little pay day, but I don't have an assigned poll yet. It'll be nice either way.
Let me know who's interested in ursuline trivia night (Saturday the 7th, tables of 8) if you haven't expressed it elsewhere. I check LJ fairly often but I check my g-mail constantly & consequently receive my fb notifications quickly. I should probably do what shelly does with her twitters because I do keep up with that.
I'm also obsessed with a song called Dit Ditty by Yellow alex. It's so random and obscure it's only on myspace, not i tunes. So I still need to get around to buying it. :( |

Well, to quote my brother: Buddy passed away peacefully evening surrounded by family at St. Clare's this evening. He is currently water skiing in heaven. :-) Thanks for all the prayers.
The SOB, or sweet ole Bob, was just a month shy of his 86th birthday. I think wake Friday, mass Saturday.
He really did work hard and play hard. |

[Jul. 31st, 2009|10:56 pm] |
Update: I'm pissy at the world because mom decided to plug in the de-humidifier. That would be fine if it didn't overload the circuit and shut-off our computers. So if I barely communicate with you not on my phone that's why.
Laters
also, cross your fingers that my brother gets the new job he's interviewed for! |

Poll #1426206 No Doubt
Open to: Friends, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 4When you want to meet up for No Doubt?
I figured meeting around Olive is faster for people and that way we're only 20 minutes + traffic from the concert. There's at least one of every sandwich chain, a la salsa, a bread co and more in that area. Does anyone know if they still have those good chinese restaurants on Dorsett? I haven't been up there in years!
Anyways I'm more on the side of let's eat early together because their food policy is "snack food in clear, plastic gallon-sized bag or six-pack soft sided cooler ". Don't forget to dig out your short lawn chair or blanket.
I'll try and text/FB/Twit if I get a consensus
*UPDATE Parking opens at 5. Venue opens at 6.*

So I'm not used to checking my "professional sounding" e-mail. A friend of my aunt and uncle was given my resume and e-mailed me a couple of days ago and I just saw it. OH no.
Also, are people planning on doing the botanical garden tomorrow night? I heard it proposed by one person, but nothing more. I get off at 7:15, so I could make it at a decent time.
Speaking of wedsndays, No doubt is next wednesday so we should figure out if we want to carpool there or anything!! I wouldn't be opposed to meeting up in chesterfield or at my house to go together or eat before hand.
In other news I am seriously in need of a girly day soon. I want to look at knock off designer purses and need to buy new black pants. Anyone interested, let me know! |

Yay... so if I can just check my f-list once maybe twice a day life will be easier & I'll feel less guilty. Quick update before I'm late to my aunt's.
Blood drawn. Not to bad. ONly took one vial (i think) so I wasn't sick or anything & I wasn't starved for 12 hours like sometimes. like 10 hrs at max.
I mentioned the jo bro show on my twitter and 2 lurking twitters started following me. cREEpY oLd MeN
Start trek was great for a movie and wonderful/marvelous/superb for a sequel. I recognized Karl Urban but couldn't place him during the movie. My biggest peeve was with the physics of the climax of the movie, and I'll stop boring you now.

I just caught up on my F-list all the way back to the 17th. So hopefully I caught everyone's news. Basically, when I'm home I'm guilt tripped into avoiding the computer. I can at least multi-task if I do it from my phone...
So sorry if I'm inattentive online.
42nd street had good dancing, Annie had a good Miss Hannigan, many orphans that were too big, and many scenes with Mr. Fred. Someone better have a good reason to drag me to Meet me in STL. I work even #ed days this week.
Take care all, |

[May. 20th, 2009|12:06 pm] |
Mom made me cry today. Only took four days. Remind me why I moved back in... Other casualties include a jar of mayo I threw at a cabinent instead of mom. I was being nice.
We now know: mom has no problem fighting with me in my dorm while we pack with the door to the hallway open where anyone can hear (sorry Merin's family) but she wants me to sush in our own home in the kitchen if the windows are open so she neighbors can't hear. She also doesn't like me saying the word douchey, but she's fine with saying jack-off, fruity ass __, and much much more whenever she's mad. She will say an insult and then tense or flinch, like she wanted to provoke me to hit her.
This just reminds me to be less chickenshit and leave. I can survive. She got in a car accident her first semester at college & she's still kicking somehow. I'll just feel bad for every telemarketer and tech-support agent in the world that will have to talk with her.
You know, this all just makes me wish I had gotten in a real fight in my life. I know I could take someone down, I just wonder how I could have taken it. |

| Good movies!!! |
[May. 18th, 2009|02:10 pm] |
Just letting everyone (shelly) know that some good movies are coming to STL next week.
Little Ashes, Brothers Bloom, and Every Little Step start on May 29th (next friday).
Escape to Witch mountain is at the Keller & I'll make my mom see it. I still need to see Wolverine, Star Trek, Is anybody there?, Angels & Demons and possibly a couple more things at the Tivoli. I'm also mad I didn't see the Get Out! until Sunday. They were giving free tickets to a terminator screening tonight! |

| Shitt.... |
[May. 18th, 2009|12:01 pm] |
So apparently there's a job fair today, that's going on for another two hours... not gonna make it. My mom's already bitching at me to do something, but didn't tell me about this job fair. Makes total sense right? I learned about it from the news....
She's already driving me crazy. She broke my britta pitcher at school while packing and doesn't see the necesity in one. She doesn't realize that her father is the only person who we know that doesn't have a water filter attached to their sink. Our sink is beyond hope but I'd need to buy it :(
Living here means no rent, but she quickly sucks the will to live out of me. Keep in contact y'all or I might go crazy! |

- Thanks for the well wishes on the quiz. There was a word bank because we begged, so i couldn't have failed. I'll get that and my geo quiz back tomorrow :(
- I'm very angry that I can see the bottom of my foundation compact in the center. I feel like I need to get a tan before I use it up so if my skin tone changes I can buy foundation.
- A bit of Fry and Laurie is awesome. It's sketch comedy, so you're not missing terribly much if you're multitasking. It was a lovely way to spend my time whilst cooking and doing my hair.
I totally wanna make a totally awesome dinner before seeing 17 Again on friday. Participation in both events is not required, but if you're interested in food let me know. I'm currently contemplating chili (because of my current supply of ground beef) or pork chops

Anyone up for Kung Fu Panda tomorrow night? Happy not easter anymore. Wish me luck on an arabic test quiz I'm not ready for. Anyone going to Panera night tuesday try and bring your planner so we can figure out when people are doing their birthdays!

| Fashion Show |
[Apr. 5th, 2009|06:37 pm] |
OKay, my roommate's in a class that basically runs the fashion show, so I know some details on it.
It's May 9th at 4:00 pm As of right now tickets are $8, but the price goes up on the 20th. Let me know if you're wanting a ticket.
Also, for her class she needs a certain number of people to come to the panera fundraiser night. So the week after Easter that's going on if you're interested. Then again you might be on her FB event for it, so you already know. |

| | Jimi Hendrix- Burning Of THe Midnight Lamp | ] | Okay, I am happily 100% moodwise different from yesterday. I don't know how I can be more happy go lucky about stuff now, even though I'm on not much sleep. I'll still rehash on some of the things that made me pissy
Did other on campus people have flakey internet too? oh well, maybe it was just an epidemic on my floor. So, computer problems= fixed. Now I'm running avast! along with Symantec until I get a chance to play with my settings and scan my computer completely and phase one out. It's really a good thing. I needed the motivation to get an antivirus I actually like.
I was also minorly pissed that the little bit of Horatio Hornblower I could get from netflix were the last two movies, so they didn't have the guy I want to watch it for. They need to hurry up and release everything I want to see on DVD. If they did it for yentl, they can do it for random PBS miniseries, and old japanese art house films. Right?
There's a friend meme I want to do soon but I'll keep putting it off. I'm also putting off my papers even though they're coming up faster than I want them to.
I'm really happy that the random soundtrack I bought that's a few years old will ship sooner than expected & that they did the Argentine Tango on Dancin' wit stars tonight. I remind you that my dad lived in Argentina at one point therefore Argentina is awesome. Tango is my favorite ballroom dance. Good dancing is sexy and or classy as hell. Lil Kim & the sex and the city guy did tangos and kicked ass. Steve-O had the lindyhop :( Sorry Marie.
I'm seriously still puzzled over the physics of one lift. Check out Gilles (the sex and the city guy). |

[Mar. 29th, 2009|05:40 pm] |
Just wondering, did anyone notice my computer signed into AOL instant messager this week? I'm just wondering because I shut my computer down before break and when I came back my computer was on, signed in to my roommate's boyfriend's g-mail & my AIM had autoloaded.
I should have effed with his settings just because. It's nothing if he just used it a little bit. My roommate's tiny cheap laptop is on the fritz. But if he signed in on Tuesday and left it on I'm gonna go crazy.
That and he touched my speakers which are tempermental, so I have to macgyver them into working again.GRRRRRRR
P.S. I really don't want to work on stuff so I'm comptemplating seeing fanboys or Race to witch mountain tonight :) |
